Robert Connolly: Managing Director
Robert is the founder of BSS Gas. As a man of vision he, together with his management team, have made a name for BSS Gas as a different kind of service based company.
Robert feels strongly that customer service should not be an afterthought but should be the main focus of all his team. In promoting and achieving this BSS Gas have stood apart as different from other companies in the gas industry.
Robert is also keen to help community projects in the Midlothian area and has done this with much success over the last few years.
Hugh Torley: Operations Director
Hugh joined BSS Gas Ltd in 2006 as the Operations Director after working for British Gas for over 25 years.
He is a fully qualified gas engineer, competent Planning Supervisor (C-Mist) and a NHER assessor. He also has worked at all levels in the gas industry, service engineer, service technician, Contracts Officer, Contracts Manager, and Area Operations Manager responsible for the installation of bulk central heating systems in the Southern section of the UK.
David McLuckie: Operations Manager
David joined BSS Gas Ltd in as the Operations Manager after working for British Gas for over 30 years.
He is a fully qualified gas engineer with a City and Guilds and ACS. He is qualified as an NHER assessor and is a D32 qualified Assessor and C23, C24 qualified Trainer. He is a Competent Planning Supervisor (C-Mist) and has an ONC in Building Services (Gas).
He has worked at all levels in the industry, starting as an apprentice, then as an engineer and technician, followed by a spell as a trainer and then Contracts Manager and finally still with British Gas as the Area Operations Manager responsible for the operation and financial control of bulk installation and service and repair contracts in the social housing sector, covering the North of England and Scotland.
Robert Rennie: Health & Safety Manager
Robert has over 40 years of working in the gas industry. He is a Chartered Gas Engineer and a member of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers.
He is an expert witness and has worked as a consultant for the HSE, Fire and Police Services and British Gas. He has shared a platform with the HSE and Corgi informing Social Housing Providers throughout the UK of their responsibilities under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
He has been an Installation Contracts Manager and Operations Manager and has managed bulk gas installation contracts for numerous Councils and Social Housing Providers.
Rhona Raasch: Office Manager
Rhona is an experienced and computer literate Office Manager. She has a Level 3 NVQ in Management and Administration and has worked for BSS Gas since its beginnings in 2004.
Rhona leads a team of experienced and helpful administration staff who work well together to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient planning.
Jim Ramage: Surveyor/Inspector
